Her Majesty Olori Atuwatse III, and His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, attended the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at the State House in Abuja, following a gracious invitation from Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The service, centred on the theme “Emmanuel, God with us,” provided a solemn moment of worship, reflection, and thanksgiving as the nation approached the close of the year. It brought together leaders in a spirit of faith, unity, and shared purpose.
The gathering was attended by distinguished Nigerians across generations, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd.), alongside traditional rulers, faith leaders, and senior public officials.
The sermon delivered by His Eminence Oliver Aba, Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, called for humility, service, and shared responsibility in leadership and civic life. His message reflected the enduring values of Christ that continue to guide both nationhood and community.
Her Majesty expressed sincere appreciation to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for the invitation and for convening a service that reaffirmed faith, unity, and the collective commitment to the common good.
