As a member of the Presidential High-Level Advisory Council (P-HLAC), Her Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III, joined distinguished leaders and partners to deepen their collective commitment to advancing support for women and girls across Nigeria.
The Council’s deliberations focused on strengthening sustainable systems that deliver measurable progress in health, education, social protection, and leadership. Discussions explored practical pathways to bridge the gap between vision and implementation, ensuring that every initiative translates into tangible impact, particularly for women and girls in rural communities.
Members reaffirmed a shared resolve to strengthen accountability, broaden inclusion, and build enduring structures that empower women to lead, innovate, and thrive. Beyond policy, the focus remains on creating environments where equity is actionable, access is universal, and empowerment is generational.
Her Majesty extended appreciation to the Hon. Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim; the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammed Ali Pate; Dr. Dere Awosika, Hon. Consul of the Czech Republic; His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, The Sultan of Sokoto (ably represented); and partners from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and UN Women, alongside all distinguished stakeholders working to advance this noble cause.
Together, these efforts are laying the foundation for a more inclusive future, one where every girl’s dream finds structure, every woman’s voice finds strength, and collective leadership transforms aspiration into lasting progress.
“Equity must be actionable, access universal, and empowerment generational.”
Her Majesty acknowledges the dedication of all partners working to ensure that every programme delivers real, measurable impact for women and girls across Nigeria.
